LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- The recent Graco Stroller recall incident has created a panic among the parents who bought the product for their kids. The company has decided to recall the products in 2010 after some products we found to be risky for the toddlers. The canopy hinges in the recalled products can cause the finger of the babies to be amputated. A few incidents of children cutting their finger have taken place and so the company does not want to take further risk. The users of the defective strollers have been asked to stop using the products immediately. They have been advised to contact the Graco helpline. Three models are covered under this product recall.

The Graco Stroller recall in 2010 points to an increasing trend of child care products developing defects followed by recall by the manufacturers. The instance of Dorel Asia recalling its range of cribs is still fresh in the mind of some users. The risk with the Graco models is that while opening or closing them one can get his finger trapped. However, the product user manual states the danger of hurting the finger while opening or closing it. The manual advises against allowing the child to operate it when the parents are absent.

The Graco Stroller recall in 2010 affects the products that were made in China and sold by a number of retailers like Wal-Mart, Kmart, Burlington Coat Factory and Fred Meyer. Last year the strollers made by Maclaren were also recalled owing to similar safety reasons.
